Capfort
Brand identity and website for an India-focused growth fund backing early-stage tech.
Project information
Design Lead. This work was done during my tenure at Lazy Eight.
Capfort Ventures is an India-focused growth fund that backs technology startups at the pre-Series A stage, across deeptech, cleantech, B2B, logistics, and healthtech. The task was a brand system that reflects Capfort's modern outlook and the promise of India's fast-growing tech ecosystem.
The core of the identity is a flat, modern motif built from a fort. It stands for strength and stability, the qualities a young company looks for in an early backer. The mark is simple enough to hold up at small sizes and confident enough to anchor everything around it.
Around that motif, the visual language uses a collage approach that sets Indian cultural elements against futuristic imagery. The point was to hold tradition and innovation in the same frame, the way the fund itself sits between India's entrepreneurial history and where its technology is heading.
On the digital side, we designed and built a website with full-bleed visuals, clear navigation, and interactive components, made to engage both potential investors and the founders Capfort wants to back. The interface stays simple so the work and the thinking carry the page.
Taken together, the branding and website position Capfort as a dynamic but dependable presence in venture capital. The identity gives the firm a credible way to show its investment philosophy and portfolio, and a clear voice as a backer of new technology in India.
