MensXP

Brand identity and visual system for one of India's largest men's digital lifestyle platforms.

About the project

Project information

Art Director. This work was done during my tenure at Animal, New Delhi.

MensXP is one of India's largest men's digital lifestyle platforms, publishing across grooming, fitness, relationships, entertainment, and tech to a large young audience. The category tends to reduce men to a single archetype, and the job was an identity flexible enough to hold every version of its reader at once.

The strategic decision was to build around multiplicity rather than one type. The audience never saw themselves as one thing, a geek, a jock, a creator, and a professional, often on the same day, so the system was designed to hold many at once without flattening any of them.

The mark carries that idea. Tightened to a flexible, modern wordmark with MXP as its shorthand, it moves at the speed of a content brand, recognisable in a logo lockup, a social avatar, or a single animated frame.

Around it, the visual language is bold and modular. A custom icon set and a flexible kit give editors room to shift tone while staying unmistakably MensXP, and the identity extends into motion with a set of animated emojis, the XPjis, that live in the way people already talk.

The system carried off-screen too, across merchandise and a full social toolkit, behaving the same way everywhere: bold, adaptable, and built to include rather than narrow. MensXP stopped describing a single kind of man and started reflecting all of them.
